Introduction to the Galaxy S25 Edge

Months after it was first teased and following numerous leaks, this is the Galaxy S25 Edge. I flew to New York to check out Samsung's latest device, and I have to say, it's shocking how much I like it!

Build, Materials, and Design

The Galaxy S25 Edge is made of titanium and comes in three colors: titanium jet black, titanium silver, and titanium icy blue. The blue variant features a subtle light blue frame that can easily be mistaken for white unless viewed closely. The silver model has a brushed titanium finish, while the jet black version is simply stunning and photographs exceptionally well.

Key Specifications

When it comes to thickness, the Galaxy S25 Edge measures just 5.8 mm, making it significantly thinner than its competitors, such as the iPhone 16 Pro at 8.25 mm and the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 8.2 mm. This reduction in thickness makes a big difference in hand feel.

The S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch display, similar to the Galaxy S25 Plus. It boasts a 200-megapixel main camera with pixel binning and 2x optical zoom, along with a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera capable of macro photography. Samsung claims that the 200-megapixel camera can achieve results comparable to the Ultra model at various focal lengths, which are commonly used by customers.

On the front, there's a 12-megapixel selfie camera that is wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, making it ideal for group shots. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 4 Galaxy across all markets, equipped with 12 GB of RAM and storage options of either 256 GB or 512 GB.

Battery Life and Charging

The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900 mAh battery, which is slightly less than the base S25 model. However, Samsung assures that the battery life is better than the S24 and nearly on par with the base S25. It supports 25-watt charging and up to 15-watt wireless charging, with G2 readiness for magnetic wireless charging when using a compatible case.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy S25 Edge is priced at $1,099.99 and launches today, with availability in stores in the US starting May 30th. Pre-ordering will grant customers double the storage, along with potential credit offers.

Final Thoughts

After spending just a short time with the S25 Edge, it's clear that this device combines the best features of the S25 series into a sleek and lightweight package. If you've been eyeing the S25 Ultra but found it too thick, the S25 Edge might just be the perfect fit for you.
